Support for Lifeguard Pay - House Bill 3852

Did you know that many Chicago Park District pools may not open this summer, including at McKinley Park ? This is due to a critical shortage of lifeguards: finding enough to staff all our pools.
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 73 is advocating for the new Illinois House Bill 3852, which raises minimum lifeguard pay to $22.50 an hour to "help to retain existing talent and recruit new workers to ensure ALL our pools remain open."
